Last Saturday, Nard and I visited my OB to get the result of my pap smear. Yeah, after 48 years I already had the guts to undergo pap smear. LoLs! It’s kind of scary at first especially when I saw the speculum- the long metal instrument that my OB inserted on my private part but after the procedure I found out that it’s not that so painful as I think before. The result was OK; my OB didn’t find any unhealthy or abnormal cells on my cervix. Thank god! All my worries had gone after she said that, since lately I had been experiencing a severe cramp whenever I have my period.
She also said that Pap test is a must for all gals whose age are 18 and above whether she’s single or married and sexually active or not. Why? Coz a Pap test can save our life. It can find the earliest signs of cervical cancer - a common cancer in women. She said that if caught early, the chance of curing cervical cancer is very high. Pap tests also can find infections and abnormal cervical cells that can turn into cancer cells. Treatment can prevent most cases of cervical cancer from developing. So, to my fellow female bloggers out there who’s not yet had a pap test, I invited you to have a test. I assure you it’s not painful as you think. And it’s feels so good when you know that you don’t have any abnormal cells down there.
